SECTION 1

🏠 About Transpire Help

What is Transpire Help?

Transpire Help is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2016 to help LGBTQIA+ individuals access affirming substance use treatment, mental health care, safe housing, recovery support, and community resources. We connect people with the care they need and help address the financial and practical barriers that make getting help feel impossible. We also provide education, training, and advocacy to improve the quality and availability of affirming care for LGBTQIA+ communities.

Is Transpire Help a registered nonprofit?

Yes. Transpire Help is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. Donations to Transpire Help are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. We are volunteer-run and community-powered, with all contributions going directly toward programs and services that support LGBTQIA+ individuals.

Who does Transpire Help serve?

Transpire Help serves LGBTQIA+ individuals who are seeking substance use treatment, mental health support, affirming housing, gender-affirming resources, recovery support, or community connection — particularly those who face financial or logistical barriers to accessing care. We have a particular focus on transgender and nonbinary individuals, who often face the greatest barriers to affirming services. We also serve families, caregivers, and community allies who want to better support LGBTQIA+ people in their lives.

Do I need to live in Florida to receive help?

While Transpire Help has roots in Florida, we work to help people connect with resources and support regardless of where they live. Our online resources, referral navigation, peer support programs, and education efforts extend beyond any single geographic area. If you are located outside Florida and are looking for support, please reach out — we will do our best to connect you with resources in your area.

SECTION 2

📱 Getting Help

What types of assistance does Transpire Help provide?

Transpire Help provides several types of support, including: treatment navigation (helping you find and access LGBTQIA+-affirming substance use treatment programs), financial assistance (helping cover costs related to treatment, housing, transportation, medications, and gender-affirming essentials), housing connections (referrals to LGBTQ-safe sober living and housing programs), gender-affirming support (access to gender-affirming clothing, grooming, and name change assistance), peer and community support (including our Gender Diversity Support Group), and resource navigation (connecting people with affirming healthcare providers, mental health services, and community organizations). Specific support available varies based on current funding and individual circumstances.

Do I need insurance to receive support?

No. You do not need insurance to contact Transpire Help or receive assistance. One of our core purposes is to help LGBTQIA+ people access care regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. We work specifically to help people who are uninsured or underinsured access treatment and services through financial assistance, scholarships, and referrals to low-cost or no-cost programs.

Does Transpire Help provide treatment directly?

No. Transpire Help is not a treatment provider. We are a community-based nonprofit that helps people navigate and access treatment — connecting individuals with affirming substance use treatment programs, behavioral health providers, housing, and other services. We also help address the financial and practical barriers that make entering or staying in treatment difficult. Think of us as a guide and support partner in the process, not the treatment itself.

How do I request assistance?

The easiest way to reach out is by visiting our Need Help page and completing the contact form, or by calling us at 561-264-5305. All inquiries are confidential. You can also contact us through our general Contact page.

What happens after I contact Transpire Help?

After you reach out, a member of our team will follow up with you to learn more about your situation, understand what kind of support would be most helpful, and discuss available resources and options. We start by listening — there is no pressure, no judgment, and no obligation. From there, we work with you to identify next steps and connect you with the right resources and assistance based on your individual needs.

Do I have to be sober before reaching out?

No. You do not need to be sober, in crisis, or at any particular stage of your journey to reach out. We welcome people wherever they are. Whether you are actively using and thinking about making a change, in early recovery, or somewhere in between — reaching out is always the right step. We will meet you where you are without judgment.

Can family members contact you on behalf of someone else?

Yes. Family members, partners, friends, and caregivers are welcome to contact us on behalf of someone they are concerned about. We understand that reaching out directly can feel impossible for someone who is struggling, and we are here to support the people who love them too. We can help you understand available options, how to approach the conversation, and what resources might be most helpful.

SECTION 3

🏳️‍⚧️ LGBTQIA+ Support

Do you provide support for transgender and nonbinary individuals?

Yes. Transgender and nonbinary individuals are a central focus of Transpire Help’s mission. We provide specific support including gender-affirming resources (clothing, grooming, name change assistance), connection to transgender-affirming healthcare and behavioral health providers, our Gender Diversity Support Group, and assistance navigating housing and treatment options in affirming environments. All of our programs are designed with the understanding that gender identity is central to who a person is — not something to be set aside in the name of treatment.

What are social interventions and gender-affirming support services?

Gender-affirming support services (sometimes called social interventions) refer to practical assistance that helps transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse individuals live more congruently with their gender identity. This includes access to gender-affirming clothing and grooming support, assistance with legal name changes, connections to peer community and support groups, and referrals to affirming providers. Research consistently shows that when people have access to these types of support, mental health outcomes improve significantly. You can learn more on our Gender-Affirming Support page.

Do you offer support groups?

Yes. Transpire Help facilitates the Gender Diversity Support Group — a peer support community for transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse individuals that meets online on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month. The group is open to all gender identities and expressions. Topics are self-generated by participants to ensure discussions are relevant and meaningful to the people in the room. To participate, complete our brief interest form on the Gender Diversity Support Group page.

Do you help people find LGBTQIA+-affirming providers?

Yes. One of our core functions is connecting LGBTQIA+ individuals with healthcare providers, behavioral health professionals, and treatment programs that are affirming, knowledgeable, and respectful of LGBTQIA+ identities. We specifically vet and refer to providers who have demonstrated a commitment to affirming care, so that people can focus on their recovery without spending energy managing their identity or protecting themselves from those who are supposed to help them. Our Resources page also provides a directory of affirming organizations and services.

SECTION 4

❤️ Donations & Support

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. Transpire Help is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. You will receive a donation receipt that can be used for tax purposes. Please consult your tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation.

What does my donation support?

Your donation directly funds the programs and services Transpire Help provides to LGBTQIA+ individuals. This includes treatment scholarships and financial assistance, sober housing support, transportation, medications, gender-affirming resources, support group facilitation, provider education and training, resource navigation, and community outreach. Every contribution helps remove a real barrier to care for a real person.

Can I make a recurring donation?

Yes. Recurring donations are one of the most impactful ways to support Transpire Help, because they allow us to plan ahead and sustain our programs over time. You can set up a monthly or annual recurring donation through our Donate page. Even a small monthly contribution adds up to meaningful support over the course of a year.

Are there other ways to support Transpire Help besides donating?

Yes — there are many ways to get involved. You can volunteer your time (we welcome volunteers from anywhere in the world for outreach, events, and community support), sponsor programs (sponsorships help expand our education and training efforts), partner with us (we work with healthcare organizations, treatment centers, and community groups), and share our resources with clinicians, treatment centers, or anyone who might need our help. Visit our Volunteer page to get started, or contact us to discuss partnership and sponsorship opportunities.

SECTION 5

🤝 Partnerships & Referrals

Can treatment providers refer people to Transpire Help?

Yes. We actively welcome referrals from treatment providers, counselors, social workers, case managers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations. If you work with LGBTQIA+ individuals who need treatment navigation, financial assistance, housing support, gender-affirming resources, or community connection — please reach out. You can contact us directly at 561-264-5305 or through our Contact page to discuss how we can support your clients.

Do you offer LGBTQIA+ training and education?

Yes. Transpire Help offers customized LGBTQIA+ cultural competency training and education programs for healthcare organizations, behavioral health providers, substance use treatment centers, businesses, schools, and community groups. Our training programs are developed by our clinical leadership team and informed by years of direct service experience. Training topics include LGBTQIA+ cultural competency, gender-affirming care, working with transgender and nonbinary individuals, trauma-informed LGBTQIA+ care, inclusive language, and more. We also offer speaking engagements for conferences, professional development events, and community forums. Learn more on our Training, Advocacy & Education page.

Can my organization partner with Transpire Help?

Yes. We welcome partnerships with healthcare organizations, treatment providers, housing programs, community organizations, LGBTQIA+ advocacy groups, and businesses. Partnerships help us expand access to affirming care, education, and support for LGBTQIA+ communities. If you are interested in exploring a partnership, please contact us to start the conversation.

How can I add a resource to your directory?

If you know of an affirming organization, program, or service that you believe should be included in our resources directory, please contact us with the details. We review all submissions and may add resources that meet our criteria for affirming, quality care and support for LGBTQIA+ individuals. Please include the organization’s name, website, a brief description, and why you believe it would be a valuable addition.
